Menu Selection: Document - Parameters - Stock Status
Purpose
This document provides the user with the ability to establish and modify stock status'.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites to setting up stock status'.
Context
Status' are used to mark the availability of a product in the LILAC database.
A good setup to use is to include the week in the status key.
01 BIS - Week 1 Back In Stock
01 TOS - Week 1 Temporarily Out of Stock
01 DIS - Week 1 Discontinued
etc...
This means that you can run the Reports - Stock - By Status report and obtain all the BIS products, or a list of products whose status changed at week 1.
About This Screen
| Field | Enterable? | Instructions |
| Status | Yes | Type in the new status key. |
| Description | Yes | Type in the description of this status. |
| Sort Line | Yes | Type in the number of kilograms that make up a cubic meter. This value will vary from company to company, but it is typically 180. |
| Unavailable | Yes | Tick this field to mark the status as meaning the stock is unavailable (either temporarily or permanently). |

Once status' have been established, you can them update the product master records. You can now also run Reports - Stock - By Status report.
