Menu Selection: Document - Parameters - Post Code Freight

Purpose

This document allows the user to enter in the cost of shipping goods per kilogram to different areas around Australia.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to setting up post code freights.

Context

Use the ACTIVESERVER Carrier key to establish freight rates that will determine the cost of the freight to charge the customer before they submit their credit card details for payment, via ActiveServer.

When creating this document you will need to obtain pricing information from your transport agent.

You can specify either the Minimum Cost, or the Basic Cost, or leave them both blank.

Below the Total Freight refers to the total amount of freight per line in an Active Server online order.

If you specify the Minimum Cost, you will also need to fill in the Min Cost K G column then the calculation of freight is: -

If Product Weight (PW) > Min KGS then
Total Freight = (Minimum Cost + ((PW * Cost Per KG)) * No Of Items
else Total Freight = Minimum Cost * No Of Items

If you specify the Basic Cost, then the calculation of freight is: -

Total Freight = Basic Cost + ((Product Weight * Cost Per KG) * No Of Items)

If neither are specified, then the calculation of freight is: -

Total Freight = (Product Weight * Cost Per KG) * No Of Items
