Purpose
This document allows the user to establish product group types.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites to setting up product group types.
Context
Group types are established so that product groups can be copied to subsidiary companies/branches. The company data contains a Group Type field which, when nonblank, determines the product groups to be copied in to that company/branch from the head office company/branch.

After the group types are established, you can then record them against product groups via the Parameters - Product Groups document, and also change the subsidiary companies/branches to use group types.
