The LILAC 3 client icon looks like this:
It may be present on your Windows desktop, or installed in a menu accessed through your Start button.
Double click on the icon (using the left mouse button) or select the appropriate menu item thorough the Start Menu item.
The LILAC Client will then try to establish a connection to the specified server. If the connection fails, or there are any error messages, you must contact the system administrator accordingly.
If the connection succeeds, you will be presented with the Sign On screen.
The Authorise process, which is a Client/Server transaction, will set the Working Date to the system date. It may be changed if you wish to operate in a different Period from the system date.
After a successful sign in, the User Id, Period, Authority, Password, and Company Id will now be unavailable. To change any of these, you will need to run another copy of the Lilac3 Client. Additionally after a successful sign in, the Document menu will be available.
